Central Kentucky Hospitals Deliver Nearly $256 Million in Annual Community Impact

GEORGETOWN, KY. (April 10, 2025) – Bluegrass Community Hospital in Versailles, Bourbon Community Hospital in Paris, Clark Regional Medical Center in Winchester, and Georgetown Community Hospital in Georgetown, which make up Lifepoint Health’s Central Kentucky market, announced today a combined community impact of nearly $255.9 million for 2024.
Outlined in the 2024 community benefit report, the hospitals reported:
- nearly $149.9 million in payroll to more than 1,680 employees
- more than $29.6 million in taxes
- approximately $19.5 million in capital improvements to upgrade facilities, equipment, and technology
- more than $63.5 million in charity care and other uncompensated care
- nearly $2 million in community benefit initiatives, including health education programs, tuition assistance, professional development, and physician recruitment efforts
The hospitals also welcomed hundreds of employed and independent providers, expanding access to a broader range of services and specialties close to home. Additionally, each of the hospitals has earned recognition as a Lifepoint National Quality Leader - an achievement that reflects their shared focus on delivering safe, compassionate, and high-quality care.
