Georgetown Community Hospital Welcomes Dr. Tenley McKee, New OB-GYN Physician, to Meet Growing Healthcare Needs

Georgetown, KY (October 16, 2024) - Georgetown Community Hospital (GCH) is excited to announce the addition of Dr. Tenley McKee, a highly skilled OB-GYN physician, to its growing healthcare team. Dr. McKee, joining Dr. Coy Flowers and Dr. Rebecca McKendrick, will serve patients at UK Women’s Health/OB-GYN – Georgetown that is located on the hospital’s campus.
As the fastest-growing community in Kentucky, Georgetown is experiencing a significant population boom. This rapid growth is bringing an influx of families to the area, leading to an increased demand for obstetric and gynecologic care. Dr. McKee's arrival comes at a critical time, as Georgetown Community Hospital expands its services to meet the needs of more families and growing numbers of newborns.

In recent years, Georgetown Community Hospital has seen a significant increase in the number of deliveries. In 2024 alone, GCH has experienced a 26% increase in volume compared to 2023. With Dr. McKee joining the team, the hospital is positioned to continue supporting this trend, providing exceptional prenatal, childbirth, and postpartum care to families throughout the region.
In addition to providing services in the hospital’s labor and delivery units, Dr. McKee will serve women with routine gynecologic care including:
- Annual well-woman exams
- Pap smear tests
- Breast exams
- Birth control counseling
- STD testing and treatment
- Menstrual disorder management
- Perimenopause and menopause management
- Urinary health
Dr. McKee recently completed her extensive medical school and residency training at the University of Kentucky. She trained in obstetrics and gynecology services, including prenatal care, high-risk pregnancies, and women’s health. Tenley McKee, MD, is also robotically trained to perform hysterectomies and other procedures using the hospital’s new da Vinci 5 robot.
