Katherine Leigh Promoted to Assistant Administrator at Georgetown Community Hospital

GEORGETOWN, KY. [January 13, 2025] — Georgetown Community Hospital is proud to announce the promotion of Katherine (Kathy) Leigh, RN, BSN, MBA, CPHQ, of Frankfort, Kentucky, to the role of Assistant Administrator. Kathy, who has been an integral part of the hospital for over 15 years, brings a wealth of experience, dedication, and a proven track record of success to her new leadership position.
Since joining Georgetown Community Hospital in 2008, Katherine has held several critical roles, demonstrating her expertise in quality improvement, patient safety, and regulatory compliance. Most recently, she served as the Senior Director of Quality and Patient Safety for the Central Kentucky Market, overseeing these critical areas across four healthcare facilities.

During her tenure, Katherine has made significant contributions, including:
- Leading efforts that resulted in a National Quality Program designation.
- Improving patient outcomes and operational efficiency through data-driven strategies and process improvements.
- Overseeing regulatory compliance and patient safety initiatives to ensure the highest standards of care.
In addition to her professional achievements, Katherine holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and recently completed her Master of Business Administration. She is a Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ), was recognized as Director of the Year in 2022, and is a graduate of Leadership Scott County.

As assistant administrator, Kathy will also lead special projects as assigned across the other Lifepoint Central Kentucky facilities (Bluegrass Community Hospital in Versailles, Bourbon Community Hospital in Paris and Clark Regional Medical Center in Winchester). As a developmental executive position, Lifepoint Health’s Assistant Administrators must participate in ongoing training activities and executive leadership development programs.
