Our exceptional team of highly-skilled cancer treatment professionals include a medical oncologist/hematologist, surgeons, physician specialists, nurses and support staff.

	Kent Taylor, MD Oncologist/Hematologist Dr. Kent Taylor graduated magna cum laude with a bachelor of science degree from the University of North Alabama, Florence, AL; majoring in professional biology with a minor in chemistry. He received his medical doctorate from the University of Alabama School of Medicine, Birmingham, AL. He completed his internal medicine residency and fellowship in hematology/oncology at the University of Kentucky, Lexington, KY. Dr. Taylor is focused on the diagnosis and treatment of cancer and blood disorders.
	Laura Downes, MD Radiation Oncology Dr. Laura Downes completed a bachelor of science at the University of Dallas in Irving, Texas graduating cum laude. She attended the University of Kentucky College of Medicine and completed an internship in Internal Medicine at the Christ Hospital in Cincinnati. Dr. Downes also underwent residency training at the University of Kentucky in the specialty of radiation oncology. She is currently board eligible. She is focused on the treatment and diagnosis of cancer through radiation therapies. Dr. Downes serves as our medical director of radiation oncology at Georgetown Community Hospital.
	Ashley Henegar, PA-C Medical Oncology
	Allison Christian, PA-C Medical Oncology
	Erin Collins-Buchanan Director, Oncology Services Erin holds a Bachelor of Science in Health Administration and an Associate of Science in Health Information Technology from Eastern Kentucky University. She completed her Masters in Social Work at the University of Kentucky. Erin’s previous work experience includes Health Information Management in the acute hospital setting, focusing on implementation of Electronic Medical Records. In 2007 Erin started her career in Oncology in the area of Cancer Registry, becoming a Certified Tumor Registrar in 2010. The Cancer Registry is the quality department of a cancer program. She has successfully led two new programs during their initial Commission on Cancer surveys.
	Dianna Kouns, RN, BSN, OCN Manager, Oncology Services Dianna received an Associate Degree of Nursing in 1993 from Midway College. She later returned to Midway where she completed her Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2008. She also holds a national certification in Oncology Nursing. Dianna’s work experience began with trauma nursing at a level one trauma center. She then transitioned to Oncology in 1998 where she has performed in several areas of patient care and staff management.
